Training Courses

S.P.E.E.D.D. provides a wide variety of firearms based training opportunities for both new and advanced shooters. We offer exciting courses in Pistol, Carbine, Sub-gun, Shotgun, and Precision Rifle, training Military, Law Enforcement, Security Professionals and Civilians on how to best use firearms as a self-defense tool. Our progressive development courses offer a logical shooting evolution designed to build a complete shooter, from beginner to expert, to ensure proficiency and capability. Our courses are separated into three distinctive levels, starting from an introductory course for beginners providing fundamentals for defensive applications to advanced tactical shooting. Our instructors are highly-professional and are at the cutting edge of firearms and weapons training. We pride ourselves in teaching and developing state-of-the-art techniques – not through mere tradition, but through real world experiences and in-depth research based on real life incidents.

Pistol Courses

The pistol is used as a secondary or stand-alone firearm, in either case it is considered as a “life-line” and therefore, should be given special attention and adequate training.

This introductory course is designed to teach defensive pistol shooting to beginners and to those who had never received formal training. This class will educate students on basic firearms safety, firearms manipulations, use of force doctrine, fundamentals of semi-automatic pistol operation and develop their basic marksman skills.

This tactical pistol course is divided into 4 basic phases (A, B, C & D). Each phase will teach students on pistol fundamentals, essential and advanced techniques needed for defense applications. Courses will review and expand on aspects of safety on and off the range, defensive-combat mind set, the 7 elements of pistol marksmanship, and the 5 elements of the “Modern Technique of the Pistol”.

This course will cover advanced pistol techniques requiring a higher skill level to participate and to maintain a safe range. Students will drill on all the aspects of high-speed weapon manipulations with one and/or two hand operations at ranges from extreme close quarters to long distance shooting.

Pistol Workshop is an unique opportunity designed as a skill builder for those who had participated in the days course. The Pistol workshop will take place in the evenings and will review techniques that were presented during the course, prior to and of that day.

Carbine Courses

The AR-15 carbine and AK-47 rifle are the most common primary firearms used today. Carbines/rifles are the firearm most useful for the entire range of defensive applications.

This introductory course is designed to teach students who have not had any formal AR-15 carbine or AK-47 rifle instruction. This class is geared to educate students on basic firearms safety, firearms manipulations, use of force doctrine, fundamentals of AR-15 carbine or AK-47 rifle operations and develop their basic marksman skills.

The tactical carbine course is designed to build on the foundations taught in the Intro to Carbine course. This course is designed to challenge the student’s skill levels beyond the basics and introduces the student to deployment techniques that enhance their skills for defensive applications.

Once the student has a solid understanding of the tactical carbine, it is time to move to the next level. In the Advanced module, students are taught the basics of team concepts, shooting in low light conditions, target discrimination, dynamic movements, shooting in bursts, challenging 300 meters shots, along with constant drills to push the shooter to the next level.

Carbine Workshop is an unique class designed as a skill builder for those who had participated in the days course. The carbine workshop will take place in the evenings and will review techniques that were presented during the course, prior to and of that day.

Sub-gun Courses

The sub-gun is compact, light weight and has a short barrel which provides excellent manuverability, therefore ideal for close quarters defensive applications.

This introductory course is designed to teach students who have not had any formal sub-gun instruction. This class is geared to educate students on basic firearms safety, firearms manipulations, use of force doctrine, fundamentals of sub-gun operations and develop their basic marksman skills.

The tactical sub-gun course is designed to build on the foundations taught in the Intro to sub-gun course. This course is designed to challenge the student’s skill levels beyond the basics and introduces the student to deployment techniques that enhance their skills for defensive applications.

This course will cover advanced sub-gun techniques requiring a higher skill level to participate and to maintain a safe range. Students will drill on all the aspects of high-speed weapon manipulations, basics of team concepts, shooting in low light conditions, target discrimination and dynamic movements.

Sub-gun Workshop is an unique class designed as a skill builder for those who had participated in the days course. The Sub-gun workshop will take place in the evenings and will review techniques that were presented during the course, prior to and of that day.

Shotgun Courses

The shotgun is highly versatile and they have proven their effectiveness both as a deterrent and a fight stopper. Typically, the shotgun is the go-to firearm for increased firepower.

The Intro to Defensive Shotgun course teaches students the basic fundamentals needed to effectively and safely utilize a shotgun for defensive applications. This class will educate students on basic firearms safety, firearms manipulations, use of force doctrine, fundamentals of the pump-shotgun operations and develop their basic marksman skills.

This Tactical Shotgun training course takes the student beyond the basics of the defensive shotgun and introduces the student to deployment techniques that enhance utilization when deploying the shotgun for personal defense.

Once the student has a solid understanding of the shotgun, it is time to move to the next level. In the Advanced module, students are taught rapid reloading technics, alternative manipulations, basics of team concepts and breaching technics.

Shotgun Workshop is an unique opportunity designed as a skill builder for those who had participated in the days course. The shotgun workshop will take place in the evenings and will review techniques that were presented during the course, prior to and of that day.

Precision Rifle Courses

The precision rifle offers optimal accuracy and allows for extended range performance. Highly valued in defensive applications whenever the need for precision or distance arises.

This introductory course is designed to teach precision rifle shooting to beginners and to those who had never received formal training. This class will educate students on fundamental marksmanship skills, equipment selection, zeroing a rifle, grouping and internal, external, and terminal ballistics.

The tactical precision rifle course is designed to build on the foundations taught in the Intro to precision rifle course. This course will review and expand on the fundamentals of marksmanship, introduces the student to alternative shooting positions, range estimation and optic-sight adjustments, that enhance their skills for precision.

Once the student has a solid understanding of the tactical precision rifle, it is time to challenge the students marksmanship’s fundamentals at long range distances. Students will learn long range estimation, wind reading and optic-sight adjustments, all supporting long range precision.

Precision Rifle Workshop is an unique class designed as a skill builder for those who had participated in the days course. The precision rifle workshop will take place in the evenings and will review techniques that were presented during the course, prior to and of that day.

Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK)

This course is designed to teach students the use and applications of the Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) as a means of life-saving medical support for themselves and for injured colleagues. This course covers in detail the knowledge on the material and the treatments that can be rendered with the materials typically found in an IFAK. Students will receive understanding on the prescribed minimum required contents, construction with different medical components according to specific missions, what they will need in different situations or scenarios, what to use in various medical emergencies and why.
This is an excellent course for those who are required by their jobs, operate in hostile environments as do military, law enforcement, security professionals, paramedics, those whom EDC (every-day-carry) or for those looking to round out their training !

First Person On Scene - First Aid

This First Person On Scene – First Aid training course was designed as a first responder medical course for those who are likely to encounter a medical emergency situation. This course contains entry level and advanced first aid techniques, familiarizing the student with simple anatomy and physiology, along with the most up to date treatment protocols; this course will provide individuals with the tools necessary to overcome a medical emergency situation.
